At Poland United Methodist Church, we believe that growing in faith is a life-long journey and that Sunday school is a critical part of the process. The foundations of our adult Sunday school program
  • Education: Some classes have a full-time teacher while others are self taught and have a curriculum chair or committees. Most classes use a combination of Bible study and topical discussion.
  • Fellowship: Some of our classes offer one or more socials a month with a variety of activities including families and adults only.
  • Outreach: Supporting needs in the church, community, nation or world through involvement in several different types of projects both hands on and resource driven. Growing disciples for Christ by sharing our faith with others, both inside and outside the class.
  • Stewardship: Encouraging the wise use of all God has given us.

Currently, we have the following, on going Adult Classes on Sunday Mornings:
  • Home Builders Class - meets at 10:00 a.m. An in-depth Bible Study. Bring your Bible questions.
  • The Seekers Class- meets at 10:00 a.m. Fall study will include a study on "Faith."
  • Whole Life Class - meets at 10:00 a.m. Join this class for a unique look at current issues with a Christian perspective. Such topics as homelessness, poverty, & racism will be investigated using resources that are contemporary and exciting.
  • Layman's Quest - meets at 10:00

Tender Loving Care Groups

TLC Groups meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis throughout the year. These small groups are intentional gatherings of people who meet with a common purpose of learning about and supporting each other through nurture and study.  Each of our TLC Groups are also involved in their own special service project.  Spiritual growth, as well as Christian caring and fellowship are hallmarks of our TLC Groups.  All are welcome!

Prayer Ministry Team
Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
We are very conscious of the power of prayer at PUMC.  Prayer is the heart of our personal faith and our church family. Prayer Ministry provides opportunities to draw closer to God through an active prayer life. Prayer Ministry participants are empowered by the Holy Spirit to open their hearts to God’s will and be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Prayer requests brought to the altar every Sunday (and those sent into the church office) are lifted by the congregation each week.  In addition, a prayer ministry team meets each Tuesday at 6:45 a.m. to again lift these and other concerns in prayer and write notes of encouragement to those in need.  Please consider joining us for this vital, worthwhile ministry.
